Your Prospective Labour candidates for the upcoming 2025 local elections in North Northamptonshire for Croyland & Swanspool.
Greetings, Wellingborough!
I’m Victor James, your dedicated Labour councillor for Croyland Ward, and I’m excited to announce my candidacy for North Northamptonshire Council. Today, I had the privilege of engaging with many of you, listening to your priorities, and understanding the challenges we face together. I urge you to reach out with your thoughts—your voice matters, and together we can create a brighter future for Wellingborough.
Having lived in our community for many years, I know firsthand the issues we confront daily. The recent years under Tory leadership have left us wanting—our town deserves better. Bringing back trust in leadership and giving residents their voice at the NNC is paramount to our progress. I am here to restore that trust and to be a strong advocate for you, the residents of Croyland and Swanspool.
Since my election on June 20, 2024, I have taken meaningful action, such as spearheading the “Operation Clean Up Croyland” initiative on December 28, 2024, in collaboration with local groups. If elected, I will continue to advocate for robust measures against fly-tipping, ensuring our streets are clean and safe.
Safety is paramount, and I have partnered with local police through the Street Watch scheme to prioritize the well-being of Wellingborough residents. Together, we will tackle crime and anti-social behaviour, making our town a safe haven and attractive for investment. With strategic initiatives, we can deter retail crime and revitalize our high street.
As we strive for progress, it’s vital to address the neglected potholes and uphold high standards in road maintenance. I am committed to ensuring that our infrastructure is safe and reliable, holding contractors accountable through rigorous checks and balances.
I am also focused on our youth, partnering with local services to combat knife crime and county lines exploitation. Together, we can forge a safer future for our children and our community.
If you believe in a Wellingborough that works for everyone, I ask for your support on Thursday, May 1, 2025. Let’s work together to make Wellingborough great again! Your vote for me is a vote for change, for integrity, and for a brighter future.
Thank you for your trust and support.
Warm regards,
Victor James

Your Prospective Labour candidates for the upcoming 2025 local elections in North Northamptonshire for Brickhill & Queensway.
My name is Scott Fitzsimmons and I have lived in Wellingborough for 40 years, spending most of that time living on the Queensway Estate.
Over the last 25 years I have been an active volunteer across Northamptonshire and been actively involved on the Queensway Estate. I have attended consultations on Queensway for the Safer Streets Project and the garage redevelopment programme for Kiln and Minerva Way.
As a member of the Queensway Partnership, I regularly attend meetings and surgeries at St Marks church was actively involved with the former Safer Stronger Neighbourhood Partnerships and attended numerous surgery meetings at St Marks Church.
My father and daughter still live on the Queensway estate and have seen how much it has changed over the last 20 years with issues such as parking, fly tipping, speeding and lack of investment.
I am also an active member of the Off the Streets NN team that was set up after the tragic events on the Queensway estate in 2021. The team of volunteers was set up to look at ways of tackling and reducing knife crime and as an active member I personally have installed life saving bleed control kits across Northamptonshire as well as educating people on the dangers of knife crime and delivering free bleed control training.
Sylvia Erskine is a current Wellingborough town councillor in Queensway, Scott Fitzsimmons is a well known volunteer in the area and Annia Matereke has a legal background. Our Brickhill & Queensway has a very professional team that have already been working with constituents in the ward on casework they have had raised with them.
